truth hurts!

Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun

hi people!

it's irritating to see and to know that there are some GLC and public listed companies, five star hotels and major banks in Malaysia are still relying much on some, i repeat, some foreigners for positions that i think Malaysians are capable enough to perform successfully if they're given the opportunity by those "i know better than you guys" companies.

c'mon CEOs! Malaysian people have all the criteria that you all want but yet, you guys are still hunting for foreigners to "fill in the blanks". are you guys stupid, arrogant or just another freaking leeches waiting to be kicked in the head!

i wonder why most five star hotels in Malaysia are managed by non Malaysians? most General Managers of these hotels are foreigners. kinda weird, right? and i definitely smell a rat here. is it really hard to manage a five star hotel? we have thousands of graduates who studied hotel management from various colleges/universities and some of them have years of working experience in hotel industry. to make things even worst, most of these companies who "proudly" hired foreigners and give them more than 150k a year salary are wholly owned by Malaysians.

now...i understand why some jobless graduates told me that there are some Malaysians who think that those "Mat Sallehs" are "cool" and good enough to bring investors to invest in their companies. and those guys told me that if they go to any pubs/discotheques in KL area, they can easily see some, i repeat, some Malaysians longing for Mat Sallehs. well...i definitely have no comment for this kind of perception.

but hey!..look at major banks and corporate companies in Malaysia. the CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, Head of Departments and Senior Directors are, if not all, foreigners. Just give those positions to any Malaysians and godwilling, they can do much better than those "tourists". stop praising those foreigners. we are not living in colonial era. Malaysians should believe in themselves and work harder to achieve Vision 2020.
